Temi Nkem Crowned Winner of BBNaija Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” – Takes Home ₦160 Million Prize

Temi Nkem

Temi Nkem has been crowned the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 11, the “Show Ya Sef” edition, after a closely contested finale on Sunday, 4 October 2026.

The 21-year-old, whose full name is Temitope Chigbue, secured the highest share of public votes to claim the ₦160 million grand prize package. She edged out first runner-up Aikou (23.68%) with 25.87% of the votes, while Sheba finished as second runner-up with 9.80%.

This victory makes Temi the fifth female winner in the history of Big Brother Naija and the latest champion following Season 10 winner Imisi.

How the Finale Unfolded

The Season 11 grand finale began with nine housemates still in contention. A series of rapid evictions narrowed the field: Barry, Oyin, Ricky, Flora, Tram and Bluethopia were sent home during the live show, leaving Temi Nkem, Aikou and Sheba as the final three.

Hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and featuring performances by Teni and Oshamo, the night ended with Temi’s announcement as the winner after approximately 70 days in the house. The season had started on 26 July 2026 with 24 housemates competing for the biggest prize package in the show’s recent history.

Temi’s Journey: From Fake Eviction to Champion

Temi’s path was far from straightforward. Mid-season she was involved in one of the show’s major twists—a fake eviction alongside Ricky and Tram.

The three were announced as leaving the house, only for Big Brother to later reveal it was a ruse.

They were kept in secret and later returned, giving Temi a second chance that she fully capitalised on.

Throughout the competition she stood out for her entertainment value, spontaneity and high-energy performances. While Aikou (often called the “Professor”) built a reputation for calm strategy and intellect, Temi leaned into personality, drama and memorable moments that resonated with viewers. Her British-Nigerian background and distinctive style also helped her connect with a broad audience.

The Prize Package

Temi takes home a prize package valued at approximately ₦160 million. Reports indicate this includes around ₦90 million in cash (adjusted from an original ₦100 million figure after funds were allocated to the Most Influential Player of the Week awards) plus a brand-new SUV and additional sponsored prizes.

Why This Win Matters

Big Brother Naija remains one of Africa’s biggest reality television platforms. Temi’s win continues the trend of strong female champions and highlights how personality-driven gameplay can succeed alongside pure strategy. For many fans, her journey—from early standout moments and the fake eviction scare to a narrow victory over Aikou—made for one of the more entertaining seasons in recent years.

As the new champion steps into the next chapter of her career, attention will now turn to how she leverages the platform, much like previous winners who have built brands in entertainment, fashion and media.
