Shittu Abdulfatah, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ogbomoso North State Constituency seat, has outlined a four-point development agenda ahead of the 2027 election. Education forms a central part of the plans he announced.
Abdulfatah said he would establish the Omo Abẹ́de Education Fund, a scholarship scheme intended to support indigent students from Ogbomoso North in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. He also stated that the initiative would include free registration and tutorial support for SS3 students preparing for JAMB and WAEC examinations.
On support for the girl-child, the candidate listed free sanitary pads, mentorship programmes, and additional educational assistance aimed at helping girls remain in school.

He further said he would work with stakeholders to renovate classrooms and supply learning materials in public schools.
The other pillars of the agenda he presented cover healthcare, sports and youth development, and economic empowerment:
• Healthcare: Free medical check-ups and subsidised medicines for residents aged 60 and above, enhanced support for pregnant women and children under five, upgrades to Primary Healthcare Centres, and regular free medical outreaches.
• Youth and sports: A football academy combining sports with academics, annual inter-ward tournaments, and support for grassroots teams.
• Economic empowerment: Grants, skills training, tools, and agricultural inputs for market women, traders, farmers, artisans, youths, widows, and other vulnerable groups.
Abdulfatah described the overall plan as an effort to deliver tangible benefits to constituents of Ogbomoso North.
