President Bola Tinubu has urged patriotic Nigerian leaders to prioritize national development over personal interests and self-enrichment.
Tinubu, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, made this appeal at a thanksgiving service celebrating the 70th birthday of former SGF, Boss Mustapha.
He encouraged public officials and citizens to adopt dedication to public service and the common good as guiding principles, emphasizing the importance of leaders who put national interests above personal ambitions.
Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, praised Mustapha as a model of integrity in public service and called for increased unity among political leaders in the Middle Belt.
As part of his 70th birthday celebration, Mustapha donated a library complex to Lutheran University Nigeria in Demsa, Adamawa State.
At the handover ceremony, the former SGF urged Nigerian youths not to let their humble beginnings define their future but to use their origins as a foundation for success.
He explained that his decision to establish the library was motivated by a desire to improve future generations' lives and support educational development.
The library, named the Wesley Mustapha Library Complex, honors Mustapha’s late father, who was a classroom teacher and later became a headmaster.
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, described the library as a symbol of knowledge that will benefit generations of students and scholars across the state and Nigeria.
