President Tinubu Arrives in Paris During His Ongoing Annual Leave

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, as part of his three-week annual leave in Europe.

Tinubu landed in the French capital on Sunday and was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Emmanuel Ayodele Oke. The President left Abuja on August 30, 2026, initially traveling to London, United Kingdom, before heading to Paris for the next phase of his leave.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the vacation in a statement issued on August 30.

In the statement titled “President Tinubu Begins Three-Week Leave,” Onanuga mentioned that the President would return to Abuja after the holiday to resume campaign activities for the January 2027 general election.

Tinubu’s vacation started about a week after the All Progressives Congress announced its Presidential Campaign Council list for the 2027 election.

The list named Tinubu as chairman of the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.

His arrival in Paris signifies the continuation of his holiday following his stay in London, with his expected return to Nigeria after the three-week break.
