Nigerian TikToker and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has spoken about why he chooses not to smoke.
The discussion took place during a recent link-up with Nigerian rapper Ani Jeremiah, also known as Jeriq. Jeriq suggested that smoking could help with inspiration. Peller declined and explained that he avoids it because of how substances have affected his behaviour in the past.
He recalled an earlier experience after drinking cocktails in which he became aggressive. People around him advised him never to smoke, concerned that it could lead to a loss of control. Peller said those close to him already understood the risk and that this is why he has stayed away from smoking.

In his words: “I no dey smoke, if I dey smoke, you no go fit be with me… They know say if I smoke I go crazy, right? Me wey drink, ehm, cocktail, I dey pursue people with knife… So since then, they said I should never in my life smoke.”
The comments were made in the context of him firmly refusing the offer and stressing that he prefers to avoid anything that could make him act unpredictably.
