FirstBank is taking steps to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with practical strategies to attract customers, increase sales, and build sustainable businesses during its third-quarter SMEConnect Webinar on September 9, 2026.
The webinar, themed “The SME Growth Blueprint: Practical Sales Strategies to Win Customers and Boost Revenue,” is part of FirstBank’s effort to build capacity and support entrepreneurs in overcoming challenges that limit business growth and competitiveness.
Based on the bank’s “You First” brand promise, the program aims to give business owners practical knowledge, market insights, and access to financial and advisory solutions tailored to their needs.
Participants will learn strategies for improving brand visibility, attracting and keeping customers, increasing sales conversions, and fostering customer loyalty—all to drive sustainable growth.
The webinar will feature Helen Mojisola Ijaola, CEO and Founder of Bags Warehouse; Onome Gbenga-Adewara, Founder and CEO of Mamalicious Products Nigeria; and Olusola Ogunsakin, Group Head of Retail Banking at FirstBank.
Helen A. Willie, Head of SME Banking at FirstBank, will host the session, while Olajumoke Moyo-Ladipo, Team Lead of SME Engagement & Advisory, will serve as moderator.
Ahead of the webinar, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive for e-Business and Retail Products at FirstBank, emphasized the importance of effective sales strategies for SMEs to convert opportunities into sustainable revenue.
He said, “Growth is not accidental; it is driven by the ability of businesses to create value, win customers, and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue.
“At FirstBank, we recognize that many SMEs have great products and services but often need practical sales strategies to unlock their full potential. This SMEConnect Webinar is designed to help bridge that gap by sharing insights from successful business leaders who have built and expanded thriving enterprises.
Through these initiatives, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to equipping SMEs with the knowledge, capacity, and support necessary to accelerate growth, create jobs, and strengthen Nigeria’s economy.”
SMEConnect is part of FirstBank’s wider efforts to promote the growth and resilience of SMEs through capacity development, business advisory services, and financial solutions.
